Carolinas Wind Orchestra is comprised of outstanding players, many of whom perform professionally.  Interested woodwind, brass and percussion performers are encouraged to contact our Personnel Manager for more information.  Auditions for the Carolinas Wind Orchestra occur throughout the year.

Q. Who conducts the Carolinas Wind Orchestra?
A. Our conductor is Dr. Lorrie Crochett, Winthrop University Dean; Director, Graduate Studies; Professor of Music
Q. Will I have to audition?
A. An audition is not always required but, regardless of your music background and experience, is highly recommended to determine appropriate placement within the band. 
Q. How is seating within sections determined?
A. Seating is determined by the conductor based on auditions and/or prior experience and knowledge of a player’s ability in addition to input from section leaders.
Q. What are the attendance requirements?
A. It is expected that players will make every attempt to attend all rehearsals prior to a concert. It is assumed that anyone who chooses to be a part of the Carolinas Wind Orchestra will make every effort to attend rehearsals.
Q. Where do you rehearse?
A. The Carolinas Wind Orchestra rehearses on Monday nights from 6:30-8:00pm at Rock Hill High School, 320 Springdale Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
Q. Are there membership dues?
A. Each member is required to pay the non-refundable $25 annual membership dues.
